Pilot Plant Systems
What is a Pilot Plant?
A Pilot Plant, as designed and constructed by AET, is essentially a small-scale process system that serves as a critical bridge between laboratory research and full-scale production. It is meticulously designed to demonstrate and validate a functional concept, enabling AET’s team of experts to comprehensively test new processes before scaling up to larger, production-sized systems.
One of the standout benefits of AET’s Pilot Plant Systems is their cost-effectiveness. Rather than diving straight into full-scale production, which can be both risky and expensive, AET’s pilot plants provide clients with a means to optimize a process in a more controlled and financially prudent setting. Here, the expert engineers at AET can identify and resolve any issues, thereby ensuring the process is as efficient and effective as possible before it advances to a larger scale.
A key feature of AET’s Pilot Plant Systems is their adaptability and versatility. They can vary significantly in size and complexity, from small, laboratory-sized units that are simple and may require little to no automation, to larger, custom-assembled systems that are highly automated and involve a high level of engineering and design expertise from AET’s seasoned team.
Moreover, the applications for AET’s Pilot Plant Systems are broad and span a wide range of industries. These systems are a cornerstone in sectors such as Oil & Gas, Alternative Energy, Scientific R&D, Environmental, Polymers, Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals, Bio-energy, Food & Beverage, and Mining. In each of these fields, AET’s pilot plants serve as the practical, hands-on testing grounds where theoretical concepts are transformed into viable, real-world solutions.
In summary, a Pilot Plant from AET is more than just a smaller version of a production system; it is an essential, strategic step in the development process. It offers clients a practical, cost-effective, and highly informative means of refining and perfecting a process before it progresses to the full-scale production stage.
Seeking Larger Pilot Plants?
For more than 30 years, AET has been a global fabricator and supplier of pilot plant components to many of the leading pilot plant manufacturers in the world. In 2016, AET formed a strategic partnership with one of their customers, Texol Engineering PVT Ltd., to establish Texol Corporation USA. Based in Illinois, Texol Corporation aims to provide clients with high quality, cost-competitive pilot plant systems.
The pilot plants will be engineered and designed by Texol Engineering PVT Ltd., while the fabrication of the systems will be completed by AET Inc. at their facility in Illinois. System commissioning and ongoing Aftermarket sales and service support will be provided through AET Inc.
